If you're in grades 6-12, you've come to the right place!

Teen Volunteers at the library

If you are in grades 6-12 and interested in volunteering, here is how it works:

We have 3 volunteer sessions per year; if you want to volunteer one of those sessions, you need to submit an online application prior to the deadline for that session.
During the schoolyear teen volunteers primarily help keep the youth area clean and organized.  Additionally they help create storytime nametags, bulletin boards, hang artwork, etc.  During the summer teen volunteers primarily help assist with youth events/classes and summer reading. Additionally they help with craft and program preparations as well as keeping the youth area clean and organized.

The 3 sessions run as follows:  a fall session that runs September through January (with online applications due around mid-end August), a winter session that runs February through May (with online applications due Friday, January 11 by 5pm), and a summer session that runs June through August (with online applications due around mid-end May).   Summer volunteers are only open to teens that have completed 6th grade (entering grades 7-12 in the fall).
