First Baptist Church

The First Baptist Church was first organized in Howell on April 13, 1838. The first church was built in 1852 and was enlarged and dedicated on November 6, 1873. The church buildings were and are located at the corners of Church and State Streets. The new church building was started in 1956, with the dedication in 1959.
