Lynn Austin
After the attack on Pearl Harbor draws the United States into war and cuts into the male workforce in factories, women are told they are needed for the war effort. Four women of different ages, from different backgrounds, and due to different circumstances take jobs as electricians in a Michigan shipyard in "A Woman's Place" by inspirational author Lynn Austin. Working as a team, the women evolve emotionally and psychologically as their friendship develops and they face personal and workplace issues. Christina Moore narrates the audio book; the library also has a print copy.
