Gillian Flynn
Sharp Objects

Does bad parenting produce bad results? Just read a Gillian Flynn novel and you’ll find the answer is a resounding yes! In Gone Girl parents too wrapped up in their relationship produce a daughter who is an expert at manipulating situations. In Sharp Objects bad parenting (and bad behavior) spans two generations producing horrific results in a third.  When two young girls are murdered and their teeth pulled out, journalist Camille Preaker is sent by her Chicago newspaper to her Missouri hometown to cover the story. The assignment thrusts her into a homecoming she doesn’t want and reveals truths no one would want to know.
