Ransom Riggs
Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

The author pored through collections of peculiar, vintage photographs and incorporated them into a most unique story.  Jacob's grandfather told him fantastical stories of a girl who could fly, a boy that was home to bees, siblings that could lift boulders over their heads.  He told Jacob of fighting monsters.  As Jacob grew older he doubted the veracity of the stories, until his grandfather is killed.  He makes his way to the Welsh island where is grandfather grew up after escaping the monster Nazis.  Jacob discovers the peculiar children in the photographs that he heard about are real and alive. As are the monsters.  A haunting book in large part due to the blending of incredible photographs that tell the story.  Check our catalog
