Midwest Living July/August 2011 (magazine)

Following a 125-mile route spanning Lake Michigan’s southwest coastline from Saugatuck to New Buffalo, this month’s Midwest Living highlights some of the best our state has to offer when it comes to farm markets, wineries and bakeries. While I didn’t grow up along the lake, I grew up in Grand Rapids which was close enough to make frequent trips out to Grand Haven with my family. Looking at the photos in this issue makes me homesick. They’ve got a gorgeous photo of a sunset on the pier in South Haven and if I looked quickly I would have thought was the pier in Grand Haven. I’m going to have to try the recipes for Serrano Chile Butter, Gorgonzola-Bacon Butter and Lemon-Parsley Butter. Even the sweet corn ice cream looks delicious.
