Mercy
I found it hard to put this book down, and stayed up much too late on a work night to finish it. Dr. Julie Devereux is a doctor who is passionate about helping patients to heal, and is also an outspoken advocate of a patient's right to die. When her fiance, Sam, is left a quadriplegic after a motorcycle accident, she begins to question her convictions. He begs to die; Julie begs him to continue living. Just as he begins to reconsider, he suddenly and mysteriously dies from what appears to be a massive heart attack--from being scared to death. Julie finds a pattern in other cases similar to Sam's, and as her investigation of these gets closer to the truth, someone makes it clear they want her out of the way. If you enjoy medical thrillers, don't miss this one.  Check our catalog
