The Life We Bury

A Mystery that holds the reader until the last page. College student Joe is writing a biography of a stranger for an English assignment.  He meets a Vietnam veteran in a nursing home who was in prison for murder but has been released because he is dying of cancer.  Joe and his friend Lila get involved in trying to clear his name before he dies.Other themes are his responsibility for his autistic younger brother, a mother who is totally a mess, and the danger he is in from the real killer.   Very compelling story.
