Kingsman: The Secret Service

Kingsman:  The Secret Service
Another action packed Marvel Comic that has been successfully brought to the big screen, in this case DVD.
The story revolves around a super -secret British spy organization that is so secret that even the CIA has never heard of them.  Gary "Eggsy" Unwin is a working-class British youth who has gotten in some scrapes with the law. The one unusual thing about him is that when his father died under classified circumstances, a mysterious man named Harry Hart (Colin Firth) left him with a medal, a phone number, and a code phrase to use if he ever needed help.  Eggsy is picked up by the police for stealing a car so he calls the phone number and Hart appears and recruits him as a Kingsman Agent.  Using a Saville Row tailor shop as a cover, the organization recruits young men from Britain's best families and trains them to become proficient, well-mannered and deadly assassins.
Samuel L. Jackson is superb as the evil billionaire tech wizard Richmond Valentine, who is malevolent and hilarious at the same time.  It is up to the Kingsman to put a stop to Valentine’s sinister plot to take over the world though global genocide.
WARNING TO PARENTS:  This is NOT your typical Marvel Movie!  While this movie is action packed and entertaining it is VERY violent. While the director attempts to “animate” some of the violence, many of the scenes are very graphic.   There is also excessive mature language and themes.  In addition, Samuel L. Jackson is definitely not the good guy in the movie and that may be very confusing to younger viewers.   Check our Catalog
