Jussi Adler-Olsen
The Keeper of Lost Causes

I've never read any of the Nordic crime writers that have so many bestselling books out there. But Jussi Adler-Olsen's new book, The Purity of Vengeance, sounded so interesting that I decided to give him a chance. Since I can't bear to read a series out of order, I started with his first Department Q novel, The Keeper of Lost Causes. I was hooked right away on his excellent writing, suspenseful plot with lots of twists, and the very real and flawed (but endearing anyway) characters. Adler-Olsen had me laughing out loud many times, so there is great humor mixed in with all the action and suspense. I'm now on the third novel in the series, A Conspiracy of Faith, and thinking I've found a new favorite author. That doesn't happen very often, and it makes me very happy!
