Veronica Roth

Divergent is another book in the YA dystopian genre. Tris is a 16 year old girl living in a society where people are segregated according to their “faction”.  People choose their factions at 16.  Factions are based to personality profiles: the Erudite (intelligent), Abnegation (selfless), Dauntless (courageous), Amity (peaceful), Candor (honest).  If they choose a faction different from the one their family is a part of, as Tris does, they leave their family behind and begin initiation with the new faction.  It was well written and an exciting read.  There is lots of excitement and some romance and I am looking forward to reading the next in the series. Check our catalog
