The way Buck Brannaman sees it; he helps horses with “people problems."Brannaman is the man Nicholas Evans had in mind when he wrote “The Horse Whisperer” and his expertise helped Robert Redford shoot pivotal scenes in that movie. Now, Brannaman is the star of “Buck” a documentary about his work with problem horses. He spends 40 weeks a year on the road. Filmmakers followed Brannaman as he crisscrossed America visiting stables that hosted his highly-sought after workshops.  Along the way, the Brannaman’s history as a trick-roping child rodeo star with a horribly abusive father comes out. He says the abuse he suffered as a child helps him instantly connect with the horses he works with. After watching this film it is easy to understand why it took the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2011, it is full of compassion and heart with beautiful scenery and horses.
