This book came up as available on Libby, by OverDrive, when I was looking for something to listen to, and since you can never go wrong with Jodi Picoult, I checked it out. I’m glad I did. Kennedy is a white public defender who steps up to help Ruth Jefferson when she’s being arraigned on a murder charge, then continues on her case. If you’re a fan of the PBS Masterpiece Mysteries series Grantchester you might want to check out this wonderful book that started it all. Set in the 1950’s in England, and capturing all the innocence and nostalgia of the era, James Runcie’s main character Sidney Chambers is not only a product of his time, but a wonderfully complex character. LOVE THIS BOOK!! This is one of my favorite books! I love how the author takes a spin on the after-life as something I would have never thought about and really got me thinking. I was drawn into the characters and couldn't put the book down. She has you truly caring for the characters and what happen to them. I would highly recommend this book to everyone! ...

I just watched a wonderful movie, Victoria and Abdul, amazing story about a special relationship between Queen Victoria and a very charming handsome young man from India, she was in a very depressed and lonely part of her life !
